You finished the job. You never asked for the review.

The job is done and the invoice is paid. If you never ask for the Google review, the next stranger still sees an empty listing.

The truck is packed. The invoice is paid. The homeowner is happy enough to wave from the driveway.

Then nobody asks for the review. Three months later your Google listing still looks thin. The next stranger in Clovis or Fresno picks the shop with fresher proof.

Happy customers do not post on their own

Most people mean to leave a review. Then dinner starts. Then the week gets loud. The tab never opens.

You already did the hard part. You showed up. You finished. Asking for the review is a thirty-second close, not a sales pitch.

If you wait for them to remember, you wait forever.

Ask while the work is still warm

The best window is right after the job. Standing in the doorway. Or in the text you send when you say thanks and attach the receipt.

Keep it plain. We are glad the [job] is done. If you have a minute, a short Google review helps neighbors find us. Here is the link.

Send the direct review link. Don't send them to your homepage and hope they hunt for the button.

If you prefer paper, a small card with the same link and a QR code works. Put it with the invoice. Say it out loud once. That is enough.

Make the path match the phone they already hold

Most reviews happen on a phone. Your link should open the Google review screen, not a maze.

Test it yourself after every listing change. If the link dies, fix it the same day. If your business name on Google doesn't match the truck door, strangers get confused before they type a word.

Don't bribe. Don't write the review for them. Ask for honest words. That is the rule that keeps the listing clean.

Build a habit, not a campaign

Pick one trigger and keep it. After final payment. Or after the thank-you text. Or when you mark the job complete in your notes.

Teach whoever closes the job to ask. If only you remember, reviews stop when you get busy.

Check the listing once a month. Reply to new reviews. A short thank-you from a real name beats silence.

One ask beats a prettier site

A new logo won't fill an empty review row. A clear ask after good work will.

Finish the job. Send the link. Then get back to the next driveway.

What should the site be bringing in?

New business, or one whose website went quiet. Say what you do, the towns you cover, and drop the link if you have one. I write back from Clovis, usually within a day. The first note is about your jobs, not a list of packages.
