Tell people how fast you usually reply.

Contact us with no reply window leaves people guessing. One plain line about how fast you usually answer keeps ready customers from walking away.

Someone finds your site, fills the form or taps Call, and waits.

Your page only says Contact us. It never says when you usually answer. Silence feels like you are buried, closed, or ignoring them. Plenty of ready customers open the next shop that already told them what to expect.

Put the reply window in plain words

Add one honest line near the contact block on your homepage and on the contact page. Write it the way you would say it on the phone.

Examples that work:

  • We usually reply the same day.
  • We answer within one business day.
  • Calls during open hours. Form messages get a reply by the next morning.

Pick what is true for your shop. Don't promise same hour if you are on jobs all afternoon. A true window beats a fancy promise you miss.

Match the line to how people reach you

If the main path is a form, put the reply line beside the form and on the thank-you page. If the main path is a phone number, say what happens when you miss the call. We return calls the same business day. Or: Leave a voicemail. We call back when we are off the job.

Hours still matter. Put them nearby. If you only check messages on weekdays, say that. Night and weekend searchers need a real next step, not soon.

Test the path you published

Submit a fake form to the inbox you claim to watch. Leave a voicemail on the number on the page. Confirm someone owns that queue inside the window you wrote.

When staff change, or you add a second email, update the line the same day. A pretty reply promise that dumps into a dead inbox is worse than a short form with a real owner on the other end.

One sentence is enough

You don't need a chatbot to keep leads. You need a live path into your day and a clear line about how fast you usually reply.

Write it once. Check it when the schedule changes. Then get back to the work that pays you.

If you want a site that sets a clear reply expectation without becoming another night job, talk with Hexacomb. You run the business. We take care of your website.

What should the site be bringing in?

New business, or one whose website went quiet. Say what you do, the towns you cover, and drop the link if you have one. I write back from Clovis, usually within a day. The first note is about your jobs, not a list of packages.
