Say how you take payment before they book.

If payment is a surprise at booking, people walk. Put cash, card, check, Zelle or Venmo, and any deposit rules next to your quote button.

Customer paying by phone at a small shop counter with a card reader and POS tablet

Someone is ready to book. Then they learn you are cash only. Or you add a card fee. Or you need a Venmo deposit first. That is when a lot of people hang up and call the next shop.

Put payment next to the book button

Put how you take payment on the site before they book. Put it near the quote button or the book button. They should not have to ask.

List what you actually take. Cash. Card. Check. Zelle or Venmo. Invoice later if that is how you work.

Say the deposit and the fee up front

If you need a deposit, say the percent or the dollar amount. Say when it is due. Say what happens if they cancel.

If you add a card fee, say that too. A surprise fee at the counter feels like a trap. Saying it up front feels fair.

Keep the wording plain

We take cash, card, and Zelle. Jobs over $500 need a 25% deposit to hold the date. That is enough.

Check the mobile page. The payment note should sit where a thumb can see it before they tap Call or Request a quote.

If you want a site that says how you take payment before someone books, talk with Hexacomb. You run the business. We take care of your website.

What should the site be bringing in?

New business, or one whose website went quiet. Say what you do, the towns you cover, and drop the link if you have one. I write back from Clovis, usually within a day. The first note is about your jobs, not a list of packages.
