Put your phone number in the header, not only the footer.

People look at the top of your site first. If the number is buried at the bottom, many never scroll that far.

Most people never make it to the footer.

They land on your site, look at the top of the page, and decide in a few seconds if they can reach you. If the phone number is only at the bottom, a lot of them give up before they scroll.

Put the number where eyes go first

On a phone, the header is the strip they see before anything else. On a laptop, it is the same idea. Your number should sit up there with your name or logo, not only under a wall of fine print.

Make the number a real tap-to-call link on mobile. People shouldn't have to copy digits into the dialer.

Footer is fine. Footer is not enough.

Keep the number in the footer too. That is normal. Just don't make the footer the only place it lives.

Also check that the number matches what you list on Google and on your invoices. One wrong digit costs you the call.

A quick check you can do today

Open your site on your phone. Cover the middle of the screen with your hand. Can you still see the number without scrolling? If not, move it up.

Then try the same on a laptop with the window short. If you have to hunt, so will your next customer.

If you want that phone number easy to find on every page, talk with Hexacomb. You run the business. We take care of your website.

What should the site be bringing in?

New business, or one whose website went quiet. Say what you do, the towns you cover, and drop the link if you have one. I write back from Clovis, usually within a day. The first note is about your jobs, not a list of packages.
